Capacity and comfort - All in one

Split-system Composting Toilets

Split-system composting toilets are designed with an external composting unit located directly beneath the toilet seat, requiring clear space below the bathroom floor. This design offers several advantages over self-contained waterless toilets, including increased capacity and the option to install a porcelain toilet pedestal that looks and feels very much like a regular toilet.

Clearance requirement for external composting unit

Split-system composting toilets all have different size external composting unit directly below the toilet seat. Therefore, split-systems always require empty clear space below the toilet floor level.

There is a table that shows how much clear height is needed for each of our split-system composting toilet model. The more space you have, the larger system you may choose.

  1. Increased Capacity
Split-system composting toilets have significantly larger waste storage capacities compared to self-contained systems. This means they require servicing far less frequently. In some cases, these systems can go years without needing any maintenance, making them ideal for continuous or heavy use.
  2. Maintenance Outside the Bathroom
One of the standout benefits is that all servicing and maintenance are conducted completely outside the restroom or bathroom. This ensures the bathroom remains clean during and after the service process. Many users appreciate the convenience and hygiene of performing maintenance entirely outside, eliminating the need for any work inside the restroom.
  3. Modern Porcelain Toilet Pedestal
Split systems allow for the installation of a porcelain, modern toilet pedestal that looks and feels very much like a traditional flush toilet. Not only does this design ensure the bathroom remains completely odor-free, but it also eliminates the need for special instructions. Guests and users can operate the toilet exactly as they would a regular one—except without flushing, as it’s a waterless system.
  4. Versatile Composting Options
Split systems offer flexibility with either batch composting systems or continuous composting systems. These options cater to different needs and preferences, with detailed explanations available on our website.
  5. Robust and Reliable Design
Split-system composting toilets are built to last. With few or no moving parts, they are highly durable and resistant to breakdowns caused by regular use. Additionally, these systems can function without power, ensuring usability even during power outages. Designed for longevity, they are engineered to operate effectively for years, if not decades.
