The Green Toilet 100 Easy with Spare Container works as a swappable bin system (also known as batch composting): a spare bin makes servicing a quick and easy process. When the bin in use becomes full of compost, it is simply swapped for the empty one. While the fresh bin is in use, the full one rests aside and continues composting. By the time the second bin fills up, the compost in the first one is ready, and the bins can change places again.
In addition to being a swappable bin system, the Green Toilet 100 Easy is fully self-contained, which means it can easily be installed directly on floor level. This system does not require any space below floor level.
The Green Toilet 100 Easy utilizes a double base design to effectively separate surplus liquids from the compost, enhancing the composting process and minimizing odors. Unlike in urine-diverting toilets, with the Green Toilet 100 Easy all waste, including toilet paper, is deposited into a single bin. In contrast to our other self-contained swappable bin toilets, Tiny-Pod and Oz-e-Pod, the Green Toilet 100 Easy does not have a separate inner bin for the compost. Instead, the whole bin is rolled out on its wheels when servicing the toilet.

The Green Toilet 100 Easy is used just like a regular toilet. All waste, including toilet paper, is deposited directly into the composting bin. After urination, there’s no need to add anything. After a #2, we recommend adding a small amount of dry bulking material—such as peat moss, hemp shavings, or coconut coir—into the bin. This helps support the composting process and covers the waste from view. Usually, a small cup of bulking material is enough.
