Operating Principle
In the Green Toilet 330 container, there is a special double base at the bottom of the container that separates the urine from the solid waste making the toilet completely odorless and pleasant to use.
The special double base has capillary pillars allowing some of the urine to be absorbed back to the compost mass, just like in under watering flowerpots. This great feature of the Green Toilet speeds up the composting process significantly keeping the moisture balance ideal at all times. Efficient composting requires suitable moisture: the mass inside the container should not be too wet or too dry.
The excess urine, i.e. the seap liquid is led through a hose from the bottom of the Green Toilet container to a canister. Alternatively, the seap liquid can be filtered with a special dry toilet filter.
The operation and maintenance of the Green Toilet rely on batch composting. This means that once the composting container of the Green Toilet fills up, it is wheeled out, and an empty spare container is put in place. The filled container is then sealed with a lid and set aside to decompose until it’s time for the next servicing, eliminating the need for any direct contact with or shoveling of raw toilet waste.

Service
When the Green Toilet container gets full and it is time for service, the flexible part of the ventilation pipe and the liquid hose are taken off. No tools are needed for this.
After this, the container is pulled out with wheels.
Then the Green Toilet spare container is taken into use and the bottom of the empty container is covered with dry material / bulking agent such as hemp or peat.
The lid with the waste shaft is put on the empty container and put back to the toilet. The full container is covered with a closed lid and left to decompose until it is time for the next service.

Adjustable Waste Shaft
The Green Toilet 330 features a vertically adjustable waste shaft that can extend from 0 to 7.8 inches, accommodating any outhouse structure beneath the toilet seat regardless of height.

Convenient Spare Container
The Green Toilet 330 includes a spare container, facilitating uninterrupted usage. As one container fills up, you can easily switch to the spare, allowing the full container to undergo further composting, such as in a garden, without any pause in toilet availability.

Spacious but not too big
The Green Toilet 330 has a great capacity even for public use. Hence the maintenance interval is reasonably long. On the other hand, the size of the Green Toilet is not too big so that it is effortless to be pulled out and moved around during maintenance.
Laboratory tested
Green Toilet has been tested to reduce Escherichia coli by over 99.8 % during a month test period. Eventually all hazardous bacteria will vanish during composting process by time and natural heat.
