This complete off-grid toilet package includes a prefabricated wooden outhouse for assembly, a Green Toilet 120 Family swappable bin system (also known as batch composting), a wind-powered Whirlybird ventilator, vent pipes, and all necessary fixtures. It provides a sustainable and odorless toilet solution that requires no water or electricity—perfect for remote cabins, campsites, and various other properties.
The outhouse is delivered as ready-made wooden elements, including the base, walls, door, and roof. It is assembled on-site using standard carpentry tools, requiring only a flat space with a sturdy foundation.
The Outhouse is made of three-layer, PEFC certified Biowood in EU. It features tiny holes shaping a pattern of a heart on the door that brings natural light inside the outhouse. The holes can be covered with a transparent blurred panel for privacy if desired.
The Outhouse has a sturdy design. It does not wobble in any direction. The Outhouse is delivered unpainted for your own creativity.
Inside the Outhouse, there is a small space embedded in the flat seat for organic dry material that can be used to cover the waste from view and improve the quality of the compost. The flat seat surface is made smooth while having a easy to clean and hygienic design.

How It Works
The Green Toilet 120 Family operates on a swappable bin system. Waste is collected in a composting container where it naturally decomposes. The composting container has a double base that separates excess liquid, keeping the compost perfectly moist and odor-free at all times. Once the active container is full, it is swapped with the empty(ied) spare container. The full container is covered and left to compost until the compost is ready for use. This system ensures no direct handling of waste during servicing.

- Double Base Design: Excess liquids are separated and diverted through a drainage hose to a collection canister. Capillary pillars help maintain the perfect moisture balance, enhancing the composting process.

How It Is Installed
The Green Toilet 120 Family is installed beneath the seat of the Outhouse from behind. The outhouse features wooden rails that guide the Green Toilet container’s waste chute perfectly in place. The liquid drain hose connects to an external container, while the ventilation pipe runs up the back wall of the structure, exiting above the roof to ensure optimal airflow.
Maintenance
- Disconnect the full container from the ventilation pipe and liquid drain,
- Slide the container out and seal it with the provided closed lid,
- Set the full container aside for further composting process,
- Replace the full container it with the empty(ied) spare container.
No shoveling or direct contact with raw toilet waste is needed. The entire process takes only about 10-15 minutes.

Verified ownerFirst experience with a waterless toilet. Everything works as expected.
I can't provide pictures. The installation is in a high elevation, snowy location, that has already been winterized for the season.
We have been using our GL 90 for about the last 5 months now. We had another composting toilet previous to the GL 90. Our previous composting toilet was not working properly. It was not composting making the yearly maintenance on the toilet a nightmare. It was basically an indoor out house. The only upside to the old system was that it did control odor but that was about the only plus. So far the GL 90 has been much better. We did get the urine diverting toilet and I believe that makes a huge difference. We have to empty the urine container every 5 days or so but if all that was going into the composting container I cannot see how any composting could occur with that amount of moisture. We are happy that we went with the urine diverting option. As for the waste container it seems like we need to swap it out about once a month with full time use. I was thinking that we might get a little more time before we had to swap out the container but after our last system this is much better. We also upgraded the fan and that made a huge difference with odor control. Installation was pretty straight forward because we had a system with ventilation previously. Overall we are very happy with the GL 90.
